Salt City Jazz Orchestra maintains a roster and sub list of strong readers who wish to participate in a professional-standard concert ensemble. Student and emerging musicians are welcome and benefit from direct experience with large-ensemble repertory and performance practice.

Participation is by invitation and reading sessions, with chairs assigned according to balance and program needs.
